Middle School Teacher (History, Bible, or Science)

Cherokee Christian School is a Pre-K through 12 classical Christian school located in beautiful Woodstock, Georgia, a wooded northern suburb of Atlanta in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our modern, tree-shaded 15-acre campus is centrally located with convenient access to major freeways and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Our classical Christian curriculum is grounded in a time-tested educational model that establishes a biblical worldview, trains students through the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), cultivates Christian virtue, and engages students in the Great Conversation through the study of history and great works.

Position Overview

Cherokee Christian School seeks highly qualified candidates passionate about classical Christian education to serve in a Middle School teaching role (grades 6–8) beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Middle School teacher capable of teaching Bible, History, and/or Science (grades 6–8), with preference given to candidates confident in more than one discipline.

• Design and deliver engaging instruction using the classical method and Socratic dialogue, intentionally integrating a biblical worldview into all areas of study.

• Foster intellectual curiosity, moral formation, and spiritual growth in early adolescents.

• Participate fully in student life, which may include sponsoring clubs, mentoring students, assisting with school-wide responsibilities, and providing academic support to students in need of additional guidance.

Qualifications

• A demonstrated commitment to classical Christian education.

• A vibrant, active Christian faith and regular attendance at a biblically orthodox church.

• A desire to form students intellectually, spiritually, morally, and socially.

• Strong classroom management, relational leadership, and communication skills.

• While not required, candidates with interest or experience in coaching Football, Basketball, Wrestling, Track & Field, or Baseball (Middle or High School) are encouraged to apply. Coaching stipends are provided in addition to the base teaching salary.

Cherokee Christian School is a covenant Christian school. Faculty, staff, families, and students are expected to be active participants in a biblically orthodox Christian church. All subject areas are taught from an integrated Christian worldview. A successful applicant must be an active, practicing Christian who regularly attends a biblically orthodox Christian church.
