HS Chemistry Teacher - Faith Christian AcademyJob DetailsJob Type: Full-time FullJob Description Faith Christian Academy exists to provide families with a Biblical education and excellence in a God-centered environment.We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the following position: Chemistry TeacherJOB DESCRIPTION: The high school Chemistry Teacher is responsible for instruction of, curriculum development of,and extended classroom activities associated with chemistry.Essential Functions:• Help students develop skills and strategies for scientific problem solving.• Teach students how to obtain knowledge about chemistry with a hands-on approach.• Develop interesting and interactive classroom learning environment.• Use innovative instructional methodologies to conduct classes in proactive, stimulating manner.• Develop lesson plans to ensure student development and academic success.• Maintain a clean, disciplined environment.• Perform student assessment.• Maintain grades and assignments on Renweb.• Communicate with parents.• Work effectively with colleagues and administration.Other Duties:• Maintain a positive relationship with FCA administrative staff.• Deal with crisis situations in a proactive and effective manner.• Complete other related duties or tasks as assigned.• Willingness to take continuing education classes.Requirements:• Have a personal relationship with Christ.• Believe in Creationism and teach from the biblical perspective.• Possess a minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (education certificate preferred).• Demonstrate ability to work independently.• Be able to manage multiple tasks.• Possess sound judgment.• Provide PA state-mandated clearances.• Chemistry experience preferred.• AP Chemistry experience preferred.
