Position Overview

Great Rock Christian Academy (GRCA) is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and Christ-centered Middle & High School Science Teacher to join our faculty.

We are looking for someone who loves science, enjoys working with young people, and desires to make a meaningful academic and spiritual impact in students' lives.

The teacher will provide engaging instruction using the Abeka curriculum supplied by GRCA. Teachers are not expected to develop a curriculum from scratch.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach middle and high school science using the Abeka curriculum.

  • Deliver clear, engaging, and effective daily lessons.

  • Maintain a structured, positive, and Christ-centered classroom.

  • Assess student learning, maintain accurate grades, and monitor academic progress.

  • Encourage scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of God's creation.

  • Support the mission, biblical worldview, and educational philosophy of GRCA.

Qualifications

  • Must be a committed Christian who supports the mission and statement of faith of GRCA.

  • A background, degree, or professional experience in a science-related field is strongly preferred.

  • A teaching license or certification is not required.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring young people.

  • Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not required.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Annual Salary: $31,000

  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–2:45 PM

  • Work Year: School calendar

  • Location: Great Rock Christian Academy, Danvers, MA
