Join Our Team: Part-Time Literacy Tutor / Teacher

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (15 hours/week)

Location: Holy Cross Lutheran School - North Miami, FL 

Pay Rate: Rang $20.00-$25.00 depending on experience and credentials.

Are you a passionate educator who loves helping students unlock the power of reading and writing? We are seeking an energetic, reliable Literacy Teacher to guide students through focused, after-school reading intervention and language arts enrichment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate literacy lessons to small groups or individual students.

• Help students build phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

• Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

• Create a safe, supportive, and motivating after-school learning environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification, degree in Education/English, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong background in structured literacy, phonics, and reading instruction.

• Patient, encouraging demeanor with excellent classroom management skills.

• Ability to commit consistently to the 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM weekday schedule.
