Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable music teacher who is committed to helping students grow both musically and personally. Our teachers are educators, mentors, and positive role models who lead with integrity, humility, compassion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging, individualized music instruction.
  • Develop lesson plans that support each student's musical growth.
  • Encourage consistent practice habits and celebrate student progress.
  • Prepare students for recitals, performances, and evaluations.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student development.
  • Maintain accurate lesson records and attendance.
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to support the school's mission.
  • Serve as a positive example of integrity, respect, kindness, and servant leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching music lessons in one or more instruments or voice.
  • Strong musicianship and knowledge of music theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Dependable, organized, and professional.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or equivalent professional experience preferred.
