Resident Life Coordinator - Los Angeles CA, San Diego CA, Columbus OH

Resident Life Ministries serves residents in upscale apartment communities located near major universities through the hosting of weekly community events & seeker-focused small group Bible studies. This is a ministry that focuses on the social and spiritual needs of college students, so recent university graduates and young adults with "current" experience serving student populations are encouraged to apply! Housing provided is a studio apartment suitable for a single person. 

Res Life Coordinator (RLC) Job Description/Requirements:

1. Self-starter who loves Jesus and loves sharing the Gospel with others!

2. Purpose-driven individual excited to live and serve at a university student-focused apartment located near USC (LA), SDSU (San Diego) or OSU (Columbus OH).

3. Active member in a local church and leading a Bible study (or with previous experience).

4. Able to host a weekly Bible study at their apartment community (investigative, for spiritual seekers), which is open to any and all residents.

5. Excited to host an apartment community event each week for residents—with a focus on food & fun!

6. Able to create and maintain a Prayer Support Team, with weekly updates using Signal app.

7. Responsible to meet with the property management/site team 1-2 times monthly to discuss plans and coordinate scheduling and marketing of apartment events.

8. Committed to meet with the RLM Director 1-2 times monthly for support, accountability, and training.

9. Engaged with a mentor from their church (meeting 1-2 times monthly) who can provide spiritual guidance, personal accountability, and prayer support for the RLC.

10. Eager to meet virtually each month with The Big Team—all Coordinators from all eight sites/cities!

11. Recent college graduate is preferred, but current upperclass students will also be considered. 

12. Estimated time requirement: 10-15 hours/week

13. Minimum 1-year commitment is requested, with ongoing service based on “fit” & performance.

Compensation:

1. Free rent and utilities at https://www.thejeffersonflats.com/ where they live and serve. *Please note that compensation is provided in the form of housing and utilities--there is no paycheck for this job! The "pay" is a private studio apartment at Jefferson Flats near USC, a private room/bathroom in an 8-person suite at 6Nineteen near SDSU, or a micro-apartment at The Urban near OSU. 

2. Monthly Events budget based on number of residents & event attendance (varies by location/site)

3. Monthly Ministry budget for coffee/meals/snacks/Bible study materials for residents

4. Annual in-person Big Team Retreat for training, encouragement, and inspiration!
