The Elementary Teacher at Covenant Academy is responsible for providing a nurturing classroom environment where students thrive academically and spiritually. This position requires a commitment to Christian values and a personal relationship with Christ.
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university
· Current personal and spiritual references
· Membership in local church (or former church if currently living out of the area)
· Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
· 2-5 years of teaching experience preferred
· State certification is a plus
Responsibilities
· Plan lessons and provide meaningful direct instruction for students three days a week
· Communicate weekly with parents
· Meet the academic needs of all students, adapting to various learning styles and abilities
· Model Christ-like character and disciple students to spiritual growth
· Maintain electronic academic plans and lessons
· Maintain electronic student records to meet state and school requirements
· Attend and participate in In-Service, Parent Meetings, Orientation, faculty meetings, and other events as requested
Salary
Three-day salary begins at $30,000
Structured work schedule of 24 hours per week
Covenant Academy K-10th grade classically inspired, private Christian school located in Pinellas County. Covenant Academy is a certified University-Model® school (UMSI) accredited with Cognia. We offer students a college-preparatory education on a college-like schedule that prepares students to begin college their junior year of high school. Covenant Academy offers a three day hybrid program on campus Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with parent instruction at home Tuesday and Thursday, guided by the classroom teacher.
