MARC Alaska

Missionary Aviation Repair Center is looking for a mission-minded individual to serve as a Chief Pilot in Soldotna, Alaska.  The position requires a patient, Christ-centered individual with aviation and administration skills who is able to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-cultural ministry environment.

If you are looking for the standard Chief Pilot job and benefits, we are not that. We are not a good fit if you are unclear about how mission aviation works or are not a very qualified pilot. However, you might be a good fit if you want to lead a team of self-supported professional pilots serving Jesus. Alaska is beautiful, but leading a team of missionary aviators is far more motivating.   We require a minimum of 2000+ total hours, a CFI, and an MEI. Additionally, we don’t offer comp tickets like the “bigs”.

This position does require you to have your own financial support.

Role of a Chief Pilot @ MARC

  1. Lead and foster a safe, productive, and professional flight department.
  2. Maintain MARC flight operations and training above Part 135 / 141 operational standards.
  3. Fulfill all possible flights with the planes and people God provides.
  4. Work in harmony with maintenance and safety managers
