LASE Specialized Education collaborates closely with schools in the St. Louis Metro Area, offering Christian-based special education and related services tailored to children with distinctive learning needs, all within a nurturing Christian environment.
Our commitment extends beyond direct specialized instruction and therapy for students with individual education plans. We also provide specialized education consultation, observations, screenings, and classroom support to a broader range of students. At LASE, our faculty embodies a dedicated cause, not merely a program. They are deeply committed to reaching and teaching all children, recognizing and cherishing their diverse abilities.
Rooted in a rich history, LASE (formerly known as the Lutheran Association for Special Education) traces its origins back to 1956, inspired by parents who envisioned a Christian educational setting for their children with disabilities. From humble beginnings with a class of just five students, LASE has evolved into a vital Christian community agency serving Lutheran Schools and preschools across the Greater St. Louis, Missouri area. This service area encompasses St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and St. Charles County. For over six decades, LASE has been an unwavering beacon, channeling the love of Jesus to students with disabilities and special learning needs.
LASE holds distinction as a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and proudly aligns with the Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA). As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with EIN 43-0780770, LASE adheres to the highest standards of accountability and transparency. Additionally, our accreditation by the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA) underscores our commitment to excellence in education and service.
