OUR VISION
To be a light by sharing Jesus.
We need to be salt; We need to be light.
We need to be Jesus to our world.
OUR MISSION
To share Jesus through loving, praying, inviting and teaching
The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. This church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the “Baptist Faith and Message” adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost persons. The ordinances of this church are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of church doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our pastor and deacons are the church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application, [The church’s Leadership (Advisory) Team shall substitute for the deacons if no active deacons are present.]
Membership: The membership of this Church shall be composed of individuals who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and affirm the tenets of the Harper Creek Baptist Church Constitution, and who offer evidence, by their confession and their conduct, that they are living in accord with their affirmations and this Constitution and Bylaws, and are actively pursuing and continuing in a vital fellowship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. The membership of the Church shall have final authority in all matters of church governance, as set forth and described in the Bylaws.
