Next Chapter La Crosse provides a pathway and navigation for men out of the cycle of incarceration and back into local communities. We have developed a relational navigation process that allows us to provide a personal guide for men through the oft times confusing judicial process of reentry, helping them avoid or overcome the barriers that get in the way of the changes that need to take place for them to get out of the cycle of incarceration. Our pathway also is designed to address three areas of need for these men; establishing safe and secure housing, being in healthy community and participating in meaningful, income producing work. In our six month Christ-centered Discipleship Home residential program we provide the support for these needs to be met through staff and volunteer led resident groups, mentoring, partnerships and referrals with mental health and human services agencies, community recovery groups, educational institutions, and employers.
