Newberg Friends Church began as a congregation in 1878 (called Chehalem Monthly Meeting, which initially met in private homes).  The current building was completed in 1893 and was the site of the first Yearly Meeting gathering that July.  In these 141+ years, this church has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity while striving to bring glory to Jesus and the kingdom of God.  As the church continues to love and serve the community, our renewed mission is to:​

Connect with Jesus;

Grow in Faith;

Go out to glorify God.
