OPERATIONS Manager JOB DESCRIPTION

 

General Purpose of this position is to plan, direct, coordinate, and manage people and policies to ensure optimal effectiveness, and timely outcomes. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for all tasks that relate to the business and how the business is perceived by others.

The Operation manager plans, directs and coordinates the operations of the organization. The operations manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the organization. This includes billing invoices, insurance, vehicle maintenance and building maintenance; oversee inventory.
  • Financial - Review invoices for accuracy and clarity before being submitted to the bookkeeper to issue payment.
  •  Best Practices - Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures; to include, but not limited to: monthly apartment checks, administering random drug tests and other duties as required by the Executive Director. Provide support to other staff members by way of answering phones, answering gate, working on special projects and giving tours.
  • Production - Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary. Order all office supplies and ministry supplies. Coordinate and maintain food pantry for graduates.
  • Education and Experience

    • College degree in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology or industrial engineering. Certain schools offer bachelors and master's degrees in operations management.
