Position Overview

Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR is seeking a full-time pastor to grow our worship ministry as we strive to reach younger generations in a rapidly growing community.

Qualifications

• Must meet the qualifications of I Timothy 3:1-7
• Must be ordained, registered, and licensed by the State.
• Strong preaching & teaching abilities
• Excellent counseling skills
• Highly effective oral & written communication skills
• Minimum of five years ministry experience
• Minimum undergraduate degree from accredited institution

Responsibilities

• Lead the Church in the proclamation of the Gospel and Discipleship
• Articulate a clear vision for the Church; develop understanding and support for vision, and provide guidance to the Church’s leaders to achieve effective goals and strategies.

• Provide pastoral care.
• Lead congregational service.
• Provide leadership for observance of church ordinances.
• Presides over funeral services.
• Perform wedding ceremonies between a man and a woman.

Background
