During confinement, our messaging applications, including WhatsApp, are running at full speed to keep in touch with our family, friends, colleagues ... A little organization is needed!

Mute a WhatsApp group

If you have multiple WhatsApp groups Names, it can cause a lot of notifications on your phone. You can change these settings in Settings-> WhatsApp -> Notifications and choose how you are notified of a new message. Even easier for groups, you can mute some of them:

Go to the group chat and tap their name at the top to open the Group Info menu. Touch the " Silent mode " menu then choose the duration for which you want it to remain muted (8 hours, 1 week ... or 1 year). The operation is reversible and will not prevent you from participating in the discussion. Other members will not see that they are muted.

You can also change the alert tone and see all participants. This is also where you can leave the group, the others will be notified. Only the group administrator can add or remove a group member.

• Archive a group or delete a discussion

To do some sorting, you can archive a group and make it invisible or delete the discussion from your device (it will remain on that of the other members of the group).

To do this, drag the group name to the left , the Options menu that appears allows you to delete and the Archive menu keeps the discussion, but it becomes invisible in the main menu. To find it, go back to the "Discussions" tab, then at the top of the screen, swipe down and release.
