Missio Dei Christian School

Missio Dei School

Missio Dei Christian School is part of an NPO which was founded to help provide quality education and primary health care in our rural community. We believe in teaching our children Christian values with the knowledge that without character, education alone does not result in balanced individuals who will become an asset wherever they may go. The aim of our school is to lead children into a living relationship with Jesus Christ, teaching them integrity, responsibility and providing them with a high standard of education. Most of our learners are children of farm workers from farms in our district. MD school is registered with the Department of Education and Social Development as well as with ISASA, Independent Schools Association of South Africa. Our staff comprises of 9 teachers an administrator and a principal. We had 141 kids enrolled for 2019. We started MD School 9 year ago adding a grade each year. For 2019 we had classes from grade RRR (4years old) up to Grade 6 and we will add grade 7 for 2020.

We have a bus transporting children from the surrounding farms to and from school every day. Our learners pay minimal tuition and transportation fees of R100 and R60 per month respectively as most of the parents of our children only earn minimum wages and struggle to make ends meet every month.

We are totally dependent on outside funding to keep our school open. We are thankful to our Farming division, Kruik and all donations to make it possible to keep the school running each month.
