St. Matthew Baptist Church was formed in 1904. In our 116 years we have had a total of 10 (ten) pastors.
Our congregation is a mixture of age and family demographics, blue collar/white collar, employed and/or retired.
St. Matthew is located just 5 minutes north of downtown Huntsville and easily accessible from North Parkway. We are in a high visibility and high traffic location with several thousands of people living within a 5-mile radius of our property.
Our building is approximately 16,000 sf with a 300-seat sanctuary, a multipurpose/fellowship hall, educational space for teens and adults,
St. Matthew is guided by a governing church board and deacons/ministers board made up of members of various ministry and administrative areas.
