Lincoln School

Lincoln School offers a place where teachers, who have been called by God to serve in education, can fulfill that call. Besides being able to serve in a Christian school, teachers will have the opportunity to relate to other teachers and Christian families in an international setting. Sixty percent of our personnel is Mexican and forty percent are from other countries. Lincoln is a non-denominational institution with approximately 450 students from 3 yr. old pre-kinder through 12th grade. Most of our students are Mexicans but we do have students from India, U.S., Korea, and other countries. Not all of our students come from Christian families. We implement an English immersion program in kinder and elementary which includes Spanish and one or two other subjects taught in Spanish. In middle and high school we give the majority of main subjects in English and fulfill the requirements for the Department of Education in Mexico and the University of Guadalajara. Our emphasis is on active learning. Teachers use a wide variety of materials and resources for teaching. Our goal is for students to be totally bilingual by the time they leave Lincoln. Our vision is to be a lighthouse in Guadalajara, the nation, and the world. Our mission is to educate children to love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves. We look for those fellow workers who will be active in their churches, have a strong Christian lifestyle and testimony, and who are open to serving and learning with the Lincoln community. We have mentor teachers who can assist those who are new to the profession. Lincoln School is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and with Advanced Ed (formerly SACS). Teachers must have a bachelor“s degree in education or in the subject they are teaching.
