Job Description:

 

This non-profit, Christian humanitarian organization located in Federal Way, WA is seeking a Junior Vendor Consultant for a possible 6 month contract position. Provide vendor consulting services to staff members as well as at the Partnership level, for complex purchasing and contract negotiation needs valued up to $5,000,000. Consult and advise business owners on procurement administration, contract management strategy, organizational policies and procedures, in order for the business owner

to make a well informed, value oriented decision. Collaborate with company subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure the organization's goals and objectives are met and risk is mitigated. Help carry out their Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

 

  1. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate  company Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
  2. Serve as lead Vendor Contract Services representative to one or more organizational division(s) utilizing understanding of business needs and procurement best practices, regulatory issues, and company policy requirements to partner with business owners and determine how best to meet their procurement/vendor needs.
  3. Provide vendor sourcing, selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation services to business owners.
  4. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, other subject matter experts, and key stakeholders in vetting contracts, while meeting business owner expectations, and protecting company interests. Communicate to business unit company purchasing policies and procedures and purchasing best practices.
  5. Delegate contract administration duties to Vendor Services Administrators within departmental guidelines.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
  7. Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed. 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business and/or have at least 2- 5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/pricing or related field demonstrating ability to negotiate and manage projects/processes. Prefer understanding in one of the following areas: facility management, information technology, finance and administration, fundraising, and/or marketing, not required. Must have a passion for pricing and cost.
