In short, we believe there’s an entirely new dimension of life just waiting to be lived! Jesus came to offer us a rich and satisfying life. He said, “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of” (John 10:10, MSG). In a radically simplified statement, that’s what we’re in pursuit of ourselves. And this is what Jesus offers to everyone and anyone who will join him in the journey: real life, eternal life… and a better life than you’ve ever dreamed of! This new dimension of life is realized and made real as we discover the three D’s of our philosophy…
Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV) – “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.””
What comes first — our surrender to God, or His delight over us? We believe our Creator’s outrageous love for us precedes our love for Him! The last thing we need is more rule-keeping and performance-based living. Our problem is not primarily that we don’t love God enough… it’s that we simply don’t realize how much He loves us! It’s in receiving God’s love that we’re able to love: “We love because God loved us first” (1 John 4:19). That’s what makes grace, grace. When God’s amazing grace and outrageous love break through in the human soul something is awakened within us. We come alive. We’re made new. We’re transformed, and ready to discover that…
Every one of us was created on purpose and for a purpose — as an object of God’s love and creative genius. Your life is not an accident! Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He’s the One who gives your life meaning. We are convinced that life is the most exciting, fruitful and fulfilling when we connect with our original purpose and design. Therefore, we are passionately committed to helping every person we can discover the purpose for which they were created and live it out loud as a part of God’s dream for them and the world!
This world in which we live ultimately belongs to its Creator. Just as He created each one of us on purpose and for a purpose, He has a plan and a dream for the world He made. It is God’s dream to see His reign established in every sphere of society! As human beings — the pinnacle of His creation, made in His image, he has invited us to partner with Him in caring for His world and seeing this dream realized. What an incredible honor and privilege to be a part of something so significant! To see His dream realized, it is our dream to raise up people of passion who live with a clear sense of purpose. We want to invite you to join us in seeing God’s dreamrealized in the Denver metro area and around the world. This starts with YOU finding your place in His plan… so you can impact your world!
Genesis 1:27-28 (ESV) – “God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'”
Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV) – “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
In essential beliefs … we have unity. Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NLT) I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
In non-essential beliefs … we have liberty. Romans 14:1 & 12
In all our beliefs … we show charity. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (MSG) If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they are coequal in power and authority and are one God.
God is great in that He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, perfect and holy! God is good in that He is loving, gracious, merciful, compassionate, faithful and true to all His promises and completely worthy of our trust!
Jesus Christ is completely human and at the same time completely God. He is coequal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is the only plan for bringing people who are separated from God because of sin back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands per perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection after three days later to demonstrate His power over sin and death and give us life!
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus. He also lives in every believer from the moment they surrender their lives to Him in faith. He draws people to Jesus, exalts Jesus and once someone becomes a believer, He makes them more like Jesus. He provides the believer with spiritual gifts, the ability to understand spiritual truth and power to live out their faith.
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation! As such, every human being is uniquely created, possesses dignity and is deserving of respect and love. However, God’s image has been marred and the relationship we were designed to have with Him has been disrupted through sin. Sin actually separates us from God and man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Only Jesus can reconcile us to Himself by His grace!
People were created to exist forever. We will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally with Him is Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the finished work of Christ; which includes His shed blood, death on the cross, resurrection and ascension. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. It is by grace and grace alone that we are reconciled and receive the gift of eternal life. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus into their life by faith!
The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Jesus Christ. The church is central to God’s work and is the primary instrument through which His work is accomplished. As such, the church does not exist for itself but rather for the sake of the community and those still outside the faith. As such, the church works together in love and unity to bring the good news of Jesus.
