Eugene Chinese Christian Church

Like many ethnic Chinese churches in North America and elsewhere, our church began as a Chinese Bible Study Fellowship.  The original name of the fellowship was the Evangelical Chinese Fellowship.  On September 28, 1980, our church held its first Sunday worship service.

Currently, our main Sunday worship attendance is between 80 -100 adults, including college students.  Most of our families are overseas Chinese immigrants.  Our services are conducted in Mandarin Chinese and English.  We have Sunday School classes for all age levels.  On Friday evenings, we have small group Bible study fellowships with as many as 8-10 groups, with many overseas Chinese college students from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other parts of SE Asia.  Besides, we have the weekly prayer meeting, sister bible study group, and outreach activities in the University campus.

We have a growing and challenging college student ministry.  This has been one of our primary focuses ever since the beginning of our church.  Our present location is within a 10 to 15 minutes walk of the University of Oregon campus.  There are approximately 1000-2000 overseas Chinese students currently enrolled in the University of Oregon, with the vast majority being undergraduates from Mainland China.  There are also quite a lot of exchange / visiting scholars, most with families from Mainland China too.
