Founded in 1967, The Fold Family Ministries is a Christ-centered, non-profit residential program for at-risk teens.  Located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont, our year-round program receives students from throughout the USA who voluntarily seek help in our safe and nurturing environment.  We offer hope and a new beginning for teens and their families in crisis by sharing the love of Christ through discipling, mentoring, and role modeling godly character and demonstrating God's grace and compassion.

Live-In Disciplers/Mentors The Fold Family Ministries has immediate opportunities for you to use your passion for Christ to disciple teens. Resident Disciplers are pivotal members of our Residential Care Team, living and working in our Boys' and Girls' Homes, which serve 10 to 15 young men and women between the ages of 13 and 17. As a Resident Discipler, you'll help to create a safe and healthy environment for our teens by establishing daily routines, planning recreational activities and day trips,sharing meals, leading Bible studies, and discipling the young men and women in your care. We are currently hiring for this full-time, salaried position in beautiful Lyndonville, Vermont.  Room and board included, as well as ongoing training and professional development. You should have a four year degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Youth Ministry or a similar field, or equivalent experience, and a desire to mentor and disciple struggling teens. You should be energetic, compassionate, fun-loving, empathic, trustworthy and flexible. Preferred Profile and Experience: A calling to work with teens in conflict A healthy balance of organization/planning gifts and spontaneity/flexibility A servant’s heart and desire to nurture others Experience in youth ministry, counseling, leadership and/or discipleship Good communication skills, integrity, humility, and teach ability are necessary Minimum 2 year commitment Salary and Benefits: We provide a salary. Providing a safe, loving, and grace-filled environment, we offer a new beginning for both teens and their parents in crisis. Our mission is to help families find hope and healing in Christ. The role of Senior Mentor is designed for a husband/wife team desiring to work together in ministry.  They are responsible for the overall effective Biblial counseling and mentoring within The Fold's programs, providing encouragement and training and advocating growth and learning for each student and residential staff.   Responsibilities include meeting regularly with staff, giving them advice and direction, developing efective strategies for maintain ongoing discipling of students, mentoring staff and students, and providing spiritual, emotional and physical support.  It will also include attending meetings and staff trainings and participating in parent seminars.
