Full-time position, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
Lead the HR Staffing team in day-to-day operations and interactions.
Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel for both paid and volunteer positions.
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff relating to recruitment, screening, on-boarding, employment, compensation, benefits, secondments, volunteering, and off-boarding.
Transition to a new HRIS across the entire organization. The manager will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth transition process.
Design, implement, and measure the effectiveness of JAARS Recruiting and Staffing services (including sourcing, screening, and selection)
Facilitate an excellent on-boarding experience for each new staff person
Ensure that off-boarding (terminating and transferring staff members) are processed properly
Aid in monitoring the effectiveness of current HR staffing processes and propose needed changes and additions
Manage the HR Staffing team, balancing performance and staff care
Manage the Staffing portion of the HR department budget
Prepare or update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating in a compliant manner
Handle all aspects of Payroll operations, which includes but is not limited to working closely with the implementation team for the new HRIS and Payroll systems, ensuring that all matters regarding pay, benefits, time away, and other related areas are accurate
Requirements

A bachelor’s degree, preferably related to HR Management
HR Certification preferred (SHRM-CP or PHR)
One to two years of HR-related experience
Three to four years of relevant experience preferred

Have strong organizational, analytical and management capabilities—able to lead demonstrable stewardship of all JAARS resources: people, time, and money
