Full-time or part-time, a project leader will help to reduce poverty in the Columbus, Ohio, inner city. A project leader will plan and perform work to build new or rebuild blighted inner city residences, helping to transform a neighborhood and young adult lives. The construction serves as a training process for young at-risk adults (17-25 years of age) coming from poverty, preparing them to launch careers in the building trades. Disciplining, mentoring, teaching, and building personal relationships to help young adults live with God's perspective of work, man's origin, purpose, and destiny are all parts of this role. Successful candidates are Christians who enjoy evangelism and teaching, have at least a five year background and skills in construction disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, or heating and air conditioning, plus have some project management experience. Previous work with inner-city youth would be very helpful.
