Beulah is committed to multisite ministry with three existing campuses, and new portable video venue campus set to launch in 2020.   Role Snapshot This position is responsible to come alongside the Lead Pastor in leading the ministry staff to equip the congregation to reach 1% of Edmonton for Christ. This is an executive leadership team position that will focus on strategic leadership, staff development, and organizational development.  Strategic Leadership Provide leadership and direction to staff across ministry departments empowering them to deliver campus wide ministry in alignment with Beulah’s vision, mission and values. In concern for the spiritual well-being of its civic society, an Alliance will lead in concerted prayer and public engagement towards national renewal.   Executive Manager Responsibilities and Opportunities The Executive Manager (EM) will give leadership in creating and administering the Office of Development. Further they will assist in creating an annual fundraising plan, administering fundraising projects, creating and managing donor lists, researching and reporting on potential donation sources, assisting the Director and senior staff in donor appointments, managing donor and prospect follow-up, overseeing social media, mail lists, event logistics, and appointments related to fundraising. The DM will coordinate their work with WEA’s communications and membership initiatives to insure a consistent WEA message throughout all of WEA’s public initiatives.   More specifically: Planning: Working with the Director, the Secretary General, its office and project leaders, the EM will assist in compiling an annual fundraising plan: these will include fundraising values and policies and strategies for foundations, major donors, events, social media, membership, direct mail and monthly giving. Facilitating: The EM will work out of the Deerfield, IL office facilitating project meetings, goal tracking, the input of donor records and results and general communication of fundraising strategies and projects.  Materials: The EM will work with the Director of Development in helping to oversee the creation of effective fundraising support materials, including case for support documents, grant requests and digital, printed, video materials to tell the WEA stories and express the WEA needs. Research and Reporting: The EM will initiate research on projects, identifying potential prospects for giving to WEA as well as responding to specific research requests by WEA leaders. The EM will prepare regular reports on fundraising activities and results for the Director that can be also used for reporting to the WEA’s various boards, members and constituencies. Donor and Prospect Follow up: The EM will research and report on potential donor sources coordinate appointments, follow-up correspondence, and reporting schedules for and other WEA leaders with donors and foundations. The EM will assist the Director and other senior WEA staff in scheduling donor appointments The EM will contribute to WEA’s annual Year-end report by providing both quantifiable and qualitative results from the WEA’s fundraising initiatives. Foundations There are four aspects in working with foundations. As part of the senior leadership, the Director of Development will have access to WEA’s leadership to facilitate donor interest and support, all the while recognizing the importance of team work and of being a vital link in its messaging and communications.   Overall Responsibilities To be the primary fundraiser for the global office of WEA To help National Alliances build donor support in their respective countries To be relational in building with major donors and in cultivating new donors To understand and communicate ministries of the WEA To design and drive fundraising strategies To build connections with the donor community To build a support base in regions where WEA has presence To design and manage a development department To understand that this assignment is about creating funding so that these ministries continue with strength and vitality, built on a healthy and funding community who in faith and global vision, care for its financial wellbeing These responsibilities will include: Identifying critical shareholders, helping them to understand the nature, role and vision of WEA, all the while building a caring community of donors who choose to become part of this global Christian voice Working with foundations, overseeing applications and presentations and the followup of reporting Recruiting new donors Finalizing with donors, the invitation to partner Creating donor visits and overseeing events with donors Pastoring donors Engaging volunteers for special development projects   Qualifications Spiritual: A committed follower of Jesus Christ, acquainted with the Evangelical community and can affirm the WEA’s Statement of Faith Relationships: Able to work well with a cross-cultural team Experience: Minimum of 10 years fundraising experience and significant experience in executive leadership Education: it is preferred the person have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with knowledge and proven experience in fundraising management Technical: Familiar with software and computers   Location The global office of WEA is located near Chicago Illinois. Residence of the Director of Global Development is not critical, but their access to the North American community is required.   Compensation Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and proven ability.
