The Executive Director of Hope Beyond Our Grief (HBOG) will be a devoted follower of Christ, evident in her/his daily walk, and will maintain a positive witness. The Executive Director is to be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for HBOG's staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission.
The Mission of Hope Beyond Our Grief: Hope Beyond Our Grief… A Ministry of Grief Care Fellowship, Inc.'s purpose is to support ministry to families and individuals who have suffered loss caused by the death of a loved one. We do so by providing Biblical training and support programs to churches and organizations, as well as individuals.
Responsibilities Leadership & Management:
· Ensure ongoing program excellence and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, and communications; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the goals.
· Actively engage and energize HBOG's volunteers, board members, partnering organizations, and donors
· Develop, maintain, and support a strong board of directors, while seeking and building board involvement.
· Lead, coach, develop, and retain HBOG's staff.
· Regularly evaluate programs, to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, donors, and others.
Fundraising & Communications:
· Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support programs.
· Expand and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations.
Planning & New Business:
· Design the expansion and planning process for HBOG programs expansion into new areas.
Qualifications
The Executive Director will be fully committed to Hope Beyond Our Grief's mission. All candidates should possess proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
· A minimum of 4 years of experience in ministry and/or nonprofit management experience, with a proven track record of effectively leading an organization and its staff.
· Capability to coach staff, manage, and develop teams, set and achieve objectives, and oversee budget management.
· Experience in marketing, public relations, and fundraising.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and enthusiastic communicator with exceptional people skills.
· Demonstrates passion, integrity, a positive attitude, mission-driven focus, and self-direction.
This is a remote position but will require some travel to meet with the Board of Directors.
Compensation and the amount will be discussed with the candidate and the Board of Directors.
