Assist a Baptist minister with all facets of his business and ministry needs as well as his personal affairs. Close interaction with an evangelical ministry board.
Responsible for accounting operations, liaise with banks on financial matters, liaise with CPA's on accounting and bookkeeping matters, liaise with attorneys on legal matters, prepare weekly payroll and payroll reports, research oil and gas issues, research renewable energy issues, work closely with real estate developers, make necessary business and personal appointments, manage rental property, prepare needed correspondence to business and personal contacts, manage journal entries, reconciliations, ensure accuracy in revenue and expenses, serve as key contact for all business related matters, perform ad hoc projects, and other duties as assigned.
Job requirements include strong technical abilities in and knowledge of accounting, financial reportng, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of Quick Books, Words, Excel, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details. Excellent management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Experience in managing strategic relationships with financial institutes, CPA's, attorneys, business associates, and vendors. A mix of private-sector and non-profit experience preferred. Experience with or the capacity to aggressively learn the oil and gas business, renewable energy, and real estate.
