General Position Description
Providence Preparatory Academy is a Christian, Classical, University-Model School now hiring passionate, professional, and skilled staff for 20-30 hrs per week. The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all fundraising activities including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns. This position serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in strategic planning.
Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Leadership
- Create and execute comprehensive development strategy
- Create annual fundraising plan with measurable goals
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors
- Collaborate with Head of School on fundraising initiatives
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects
- Oversee annual giving campaigns and special events
- Manage donor database and gift acknowledgment process
- Create donor recognition programs
- Design and implement planned giving program
Communications & Marketing
- Develop fundraising materials and proposals
- Manage development communications strategy
- Create impact reports for donors
Team Leadership
- Supervise development staff and volunteers
- Provide training and mentorship
- Set performance goals and metrics
- Manage development budget
Qualifications:
- 5+ years fundraising experience
- Proven track record of securing major gifts
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strategic planning expertise

Compensation:
Salary based on experience - $30,000 to $45,000 yearly
