Abilities
- Gifted to lead others in worship
- Articulates clear theology of salvation
- Practices a philosophy of ministry in harmony with church leadership, especially understanding of discipleship
- Has facility with both contemporary worship and modernized hymns
- Appreciates liturgical elements such as classic prayers and readings
- Capable vocalist and instrumentalist (guitar or keyboard preferred)
- Experienced in leading worship
- Able to teach others
Responsibilities
- Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Spend time developing relationships with non-Christians both to advance the kingdom as well as to understand the community.
- Participate in broader disciple-making ministries of the church.
- Build the necessary teams to lead a worship ministry that facilitates an experience in the presence of God.
- Plan worship services in consultation with the Senior Pastor.
- Oversee musical selection, media preparation and presentation, sound and lighting, and coordination of teams.
- Direct worship team meetings and rehearsals as needed.
- Oversee the worship department budget, organization, and volunteers.
- Manage online and software accounts used to plan and lead worship.
- Ensure maintenance of instruments and audio-video equipment.
- Lead worship ministry teams toward gradually greater excellence.
- Scout for musicians and develop a process for integration.
- Communicate well with other staff, leaders, and team members.
- Fulfill other duties as relevant to role.
- Report directly to the Senior Pastor.

- Work history, including dates, position, and supervisor.
- Letters of reference from three people regarding your worship ministry in the local church.
- Video of applicant leading worship (including transitions between songs).
