GAP Ministries is seeking mature, compassionate husband and wife teams with a heart for ministry as live-in houseparents. At GAP you will provide supervision, structure and assistance in meeting abused and neglected children’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while modeling Christ and teaching them life skills. It is a wonderful ministry opportunity to invest in the lives of children and youth by serving foster children and youth in a group home in beautiful northwest Tucson, Arizona.
As a live-in houseparent you will strive to provide a safe, Christ-centered temporary home for children in your care. You are part of a larger Christ-centered management team with high expectations for biblical character and values focused on creating and modeling these behaviors of love, hope and peace for the children and for all staff.
Full Time Benefits, valued at over $30,000 annually, include: Housing, Utilities, Food; matching retirement plan (403b); Health, Life and Dental insurance, and paid leave.
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually per couple (I.E. $40,000 to $50,000 annually per person) based on a 50 to 65 hour work week -- on 4 days and off 3 days. Plus $1,500 incentive bonus per full time couple, paid at $250 per month per couple following successful completion of 90 day period in good standing.
Employment Type: Full-Time (50 to 65 hours weekly) or Part-Time (hours/schedule varies by couple) or Respite
Schedule: Requires weekends with 3 days off earlier in the week; additional schedules are available
