Job Description

OVERVIEW:

TRIAD exists to mobilize, equip, and deploy Christ followers to the hardest to reach places and people groups. The Design & Content Specialist, in close collaboration with US Director, provides creative leadership and direction of graphic design and production for a variety of print and digital materials designed for both internal and external constituents for TRIAD. This position will contribute to a range of creative projects, simultaneously and often under tight deadlines, providing professional design services and support to all departments. The Design & Content Specialist will also work closely with the Creative Team, and will collaborate with other members to create proposals, publications, presentations, templates, customizable resources, web elements, and other materials for internal and external audiences.

 

INDIVIDUAL PROFILE:

The Design & Content Specialist will be a mature follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, be in fellowship with a Bible-believing church, and want to make a difference through involvement in world missions and evangelism. This individual must personally embrace the purpose, vision, beliefs, and values of TRIAD and embrace our multi-organization approach to mobilization. This specialist will possess critical thinking skills, creativity, demonstrate dependence on God, enjoy spiritual vitality, and have an obvious passion to mobilize resources for world mission with the conviction that the church is the “sender.”  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations

  • Works directly with US Director for assignment, schedule, and priority of projects.
  • Uses our current Customer Relations Management (Salesforce) and other organizational systems (e.g., Dropbox, Slack, Asana, etc.) to retrieve and input data.

Communications

  • Serve on the Creative Team, which consists of the Executive Director, U.S. Director, Communications & Marketing Director, and Social Media Specialist.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Adobe Creative Suite capabilities and creative insights.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Creative Team for content development of all the organization’s marketing material.
  • Foster relationship with Creative Team through internal communication applications when applicable.
  • Meet with Creative Team for expectations and outcomes of each proposed design or communications project.
  • Advise Creative team on strategies to reach a particular audience.
  • Communicates internally and externally of the organization with fellow employees, vendors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner assuring to pay attention to security when speaking about sensitive data or information.
  • Promote and cultivate a workplace culture which values world mission, teamwork, service, accountability, effectiveness, openness, and professionalism in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation.
  • Represent TRIAD when called upon.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with supervisor and any other staff-based communication opportunities, as needed.
  • All TRIAD employees must:
    • Be able to fully support TRIAD’S mission, vision, core values, doctrinal statement, and ministry philosophy.
    • Be able to follow all guidelines set forth in the TRIAD Employee Handbook.

Design

  • Maintain, develop, and enhance organizational branding.
  • Complete due diligence on marketing, branding, and development trends; and maintains technical knowledge by networking and reviewing professional publications.
  • Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
  • Design web page graphics to be provided to our website developer and host.
  • Design brochures, logos, signs, books, cards, graphics, proposals, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials as needed and requested.
  • Create materials using Adobe Creative Suites.
  • Produce drafts for review by Creative Team and make revisions based on the feedback received.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by Creative Team into the final design.
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or proven work experience as a Content Writer or Graphic Designer with a strong emphasis in both print and digital form, 3 years (Preferred).
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, problem-solver able to create visual solutions that simplify a complex message to reach a targeted audience.
  • Professional knowledge of concept, layout, typography, color, branding, and strategic design.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Suites - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign: 3 years (Preferred).
  • Proven knowledge of brand communication, digital marketing, and design trends.
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations and other graphics.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Ability to execute both design and production phases for all projects.
  • Skills in visual design, information architecture, print standards, color theory and typography.
  • Understanding of web design, including mobile and responsive landscapes.
  • Proven experience working in a collaborative creative environment.
  • Ability to perform accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask between multiple projects and clients.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and direction from multiple sources.
  • Experience in illustration, creative arts, editorial, and/or photography a plus.
  • Hands on experience with MS Office, WordPress, and a Marketing Automation Software
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML.
