Position Summary          

JAARS needs someone to coordinate staff and to represent and promote JAARS at various church relations activities. Respond to and coordinate requests from the community for JAARS presentations and involvement.

If you have the ability to convey how JAARS makes Bible translation and language development possible, we would love to talk with you.

Position Responsibilities              

  • Develop contacts and build relationships with church representatives to create opportunities for keeping JAARS and our services in front of the church community
  • Oversee church liaison program
  • Respond to requests from churches, plan, coordinate and staff the programs to motivate and encourage interest in JAARS and promote goodwill
  • Maintain database of church contacts
  • Assist, equip and coach staff for speaking engagements and event protocol
  • Distribute JAARS publicity materials and place in designated church locations

Position Requirements 

  • A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
  • Embrace the vision, mission and core values of JAARS
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with ability to establish and scale rapport and trust rapidly
  • Good organization and coordination skills for events and activities related to JAARS and church partnerships

There are nearly 600 million people in the world with little or no access to Scripture in the language they know best, their heart language. 

JAARS makes Bible translation and language development possible, especially in the most remote places on earth. We do that by enabling locally appropriate and sustainable solutions in transportation, technology, media and training.

We need more staff to make that possible. Of those who work at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, N.C., 50% are volunteers either short or long term, full or part time, and of all ages and  backgrounds. Missionaries and a few paid personnel round out the staff.
