Position Title: Publicity and Marketing Specialist

WIN and our sister organization WIN Life transform communities through the gospel of Jesus Christ and sustainable development projects such as water systems, small business startups and social justice initiatives. This position will be joining a movement that has brought the gospel to millions in some of the most difficult regions of the world, founded schools and education centers that serve thousands of needy children, and rescued victims of human trafficking. The founder of both organizations, Dr. Leanna Cinquanta, is a motivational speaker, reformer, and published author. We ignite sustainable whole-community transformation in some of the most unreached and oppressed regions of the world.
WIN seeks a team member who shares our calling to ignite reformation, revival and transformation of communities. The Publicity & Marketing Specialist is expected to create an overall marketing and publicity strategy then execute it through personal engagement plus leadership of an international media team. The strategy is expected to include, but not to be limited to:
Putting the Founder and other organization leaders in front of audiences.
Catalyzing the production and publicizing of various forms of media (video, audio etc.).
Other creative strategies to enable the organization to become known and loved.
The goal is to leverage the unique points of the founder and the organization, moving both of these from obscure and hidden, to visible and globally known.
Prepare a comprehensive publicity strategy for the organization, including measurable goals and metrics. Must include incorporate in-person and virtual stages, social media, video, planned giving and vision trips. These must all be managed and marketed largely through online means such as website, social media, email, text, phone app etc.
Research potential stages (audiences, whether these be in-person events, or virtual/online). Secure speaking and/or presentation opportunities for the founder/ organization. Stages may include conferences, churches, TV/ radio interviews / online shows, podcasts, etc. Follow-up after the event to facilitate ongoing relationship for a potential future engagement/long term relationship.
Provide the direction, leadership and coaching to an international media team (works remotely from multiple nations, produces international field content), and collaboratively carry out the following tasks in alignment with your pre-defined Publicity Strategy:
Social Media: Create and prepare all social media marketing posts for all platforms.
Video, Audio: Create video and audio media that tells the organization’s stories, strategies and inspirational knowledge, then package /produce this video/audio content into motivating, modern, digital formats and get it out to the world with specific strategy and measurable goals and metrics
Repurpose: Repurpose content produced in events or other activities of the Founder or other team members and then post or manage the posting of it on multiple platforms with specific strategy and measurable goals and metrics. This may include platforms like YouTube, Podcast etc. in addition to the standard Fb, Instagram and Blog posts.
Print, Email, etc: Create moving, emotive, inspiring articles, edit stories from the field, write stories based on interviews via zoom, produce print and email newsletters, publicity campaigns etc.
Vision trip, Planned Giving etc materials and campaigns – Prepare content for contracted Graphic Designer to assist with preparation of publicity materials/web-based forms for these campaigns. Then utilize the materials to run effective campaigns.
Personnel and Materials
Cultivate and manage media volunteers as needed.
Determine what other promotional materials need to be made and provide content (design work to be carried out by our contracted Graphic Designer)
Collaborate with other staff to arrange publicity and donor appreciation events.
Utilize the organization’s Salesforce database to record and monitor your personal interactions with prospects (software training will be provided)
Track all tasks, projects and daily activities in project management software.
Required Skills and Experience:
Prior training and experience in leading marketing / publicity for nonprofit, global development or influencer marketing.
Experienced in modern digital marketing is essential.
Excellence in verbal communication, public relations, and telephone skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Experience leading remote teams
Experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting executive leaders.
Ability to multi-task and manage the completion of multiple projects, often with shifting priorities, while working under direct supervision or independently.
Ability to handle confidential donor/partner information with sensitivity and integrity.
Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s degree in marketing / communications or related field.
Biblical or missions training a plus.
Experience in international Christian missions. Be willing to learn basic operation of organization’s software such as Salesforce.
Experience in graphic design, photography or video production.
