Work Hours and Benefits
Presently we are beginning startup funding for this Executive Director position on a 20 hours per week half-time basis. The goal is for a new Executive Director to take the lead in developing sufficient funds over the initial six month trial period to at least cover Executive Director salary, payroll taxes and health coverage on a full-time basis of 40 hours per work week, with a commensurate doubling of pay plus health coverage.
We are providing an allowance for travel and promotional expenses. As fundraising continues to grow we expect to offer a paid trip to Ghana to visit mission projects in person.
Executive Director Qualifications/Skills:
Self-starter with strong marketing and sales experience
Ability to multitask
Creative problem-solving and organizational skills
The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to our mission. All candidates should be able to affirm our statement of faith which this non-denominational organization supports as the basis for our mission efforts. Our statement of faith as approved by the Board of Directors is the Nicene Creed – an early Christian creed affirmed by all Christian denominations.
Education and Experience
Ideally we prefer someone with a bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing or accounting. We also would like at least five years of experience leading a smaller charity. Since we are a Christian missions organization, our Executive Director must believe in the inerrant truth of the Bible as expressed in the Nicene Creed and have a passion for mission fundraising.
