WDA Leadership Institute Director
The WDA Leadership Institute (WDALI) is a replicable leadership development pathway based on the progressive development of Jesus’ twelve apostles. WDALI is designed to train small cohorts of local church leaders through discussion groups, practical ministry projects, and individual study using WDA printed materials or the WDALI online platform (www.wdaleadershipinstitute.com).
The WDALI Director will provide leadership to WDALI team members and cohort leaders to ensure the growth and development of the WDALI pathway. This position will be trained by the Director of International ministries for 6 months before assuming full responsibilities.
The WDA Leadership Institute Director will report to the Chief Operations Officer.
This is full-time, support-raised position. The individual will be required to raise their own funding to meet their salary goal.
This position serves:
WDALI cohort leaders (both US and international)
Oversee the training of cohort leaders (train the trainers).
Manage the LI support team in developing of the WDALI online platform.
Oversee recruitment efforts to attract new students and online users.
Coordinate with Director of Generosity in raising funds for WDALI.
Interface with high-level church and mission leaders to promote WDALI.
Pursue academic accreditation for WDALI through a partner institution.
Work with the Director of International ministries to train and coordinate international cohort leaders and students.
Work with Director of Church Ministries to implement WDALI in US churches.
Conduct exit interviews with WDALI students.
Manage WDALI online platform, communications, and student database.
Provide individual consultations with both leaders and students as needed.
A committed Christian in full agreement with WDA’s Statement of Faith. Passionate about WDA’s mission to serve the church worldwide by developing Christlike character in people and equipping them to disciple others.More interested in delivering life transformation than providing information.
A visionary able to see the big picture, envision future growth opportunities and take initiative. Able to identify and strategically address bottlenecks to growth.Strong work ethic and an ability to work independently and solve problems.
A graduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent experience or education in Theology, Organizational Leadership, or Christian Education.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or Christian ministry position AND history of personal discipling others through one-on-one mentoring and small groups.Ideal candidate will have a background working in Christian higher education or discipleship ministry.
Demonstrates strong competence and familiarity in today’s electronic environment (PC/Mac, MS Office, Google Suite applications, Zoom, social media). Ability to learn CRM database applications. Familiarity with Kajabi, Mailchimp, and Eventbrite preferred.
High level of cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication skills.
High emotional intelligence. An ability to effectively navigate interpersonal communication and form healthy bonds with other team members.Humility and a willingness to learn. Must be able to demonstrate healthy conflict resolution and emotional health.
Highly organized and efficient, with demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.Capable of effective collaboration with teams in a complex organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing. Ability to inspire others through teaching, preaching, and public speaking.
Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask. Strong customer service mentality with a can-do approach.
Demonstrates a spiritual life and emotional maturity that is an example to others.
Most importantly, must exemplify a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for God’s people, and a passion for discipleship. Familiarity with missions is a plus.
