SUMMARY: Frontiers is a Christian, faith-based non-profit partnering with churches to send their workers overseas. The Accounting Clerk applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required.
Prepare journal entries and record/post
Prepare supporting information for bi-monthly payroll
Prepare spreadsheets to support 403b plan accounting
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Create and email monthly fund statements and reimbursement summaries to field workers
Assist with Accounts Payable; prepare 1099 forms and file annually
Research and answer emails from workers on a variety of financial topics
Computer Skills - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Quickbooks, Crystal Reports a plus.

Strong oral and written skills
Knowledge of compliance issues for 501(c)3 organizations
Understanding tax law as it relates to reimbursements
Strong understanding of systems, internal controls and processes

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Strong accounting background; prefer a BA or BS in accounting or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
