Overview:
GEM operates 5 international gospel-saturated schools in 3 countries (Mexico, Uganda, and Columbia) GEM is looking for gifted teachers who are passionate about sharing their faith inside and outside of the classroom. Our gospel-saturated schools are unique in that we take each aspect of school, and we seek to infuse each aspect with the gospel. This looks like gospel-woven instruction, gospel-centered discipline, gospel-motivated relationships, and gospel example.
The Manantial School is located in the beautiful coastal town of Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico. Puerto Escondido is home to 45,000 people, and is a safe city with a slower pace of life. There are multiple forms of public transportation, and many social and cultural opportunities. The Manantial School offers a unique, full English immersion program to local Mexican children who predominantly come from middle and lower class families. The Manantial School is a gospel-saturated K-11th program, with a mixture of U.S.-based standards and Mexican-based standards designed to meet the needs of the students and their families and prepare them for different paths after graduation.

Job Summary/Objective:
Create and maintain a positive learning environment within the classroom, supporting each student and professional in every aspect. In addition to teaching, each teacher is also a missionary, using their skills as a teacher to plant seeds of the gospel each day.
Reports to:
Primary Principal and GEM Directors
General Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and teach your class using best practices
- Assist the school administration in accomplishing the academic goals of the school
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the community
- As a missionary, there will be expectations to assist in recruiting, fundraising, creating policy, and being an ambassador for GEM
Qualifications:
The candidate must possess:
- A true, genuine faith in Jesus Christ
- Degree in Elementary Education
- Flexibility of schedule
- Willingness to relocate to Mexico for the duration of the contract
- Willingness to fundraise and recruit for the ministry

We have big plans to bring the gospel to as many communities as God will allow, but in order to do this we need individuals that are both passionate followers of Jesus and talented teachers who desire to use their gifts to be effective ministers of the gospel in our classrooms.
