Mountain and Sea Educational Adventures (MSA) was founded in 1997 as a non-profit organization with a mission to teach outdoor education in a manner which increases the awareness of the environment, raises the spirit of youth, and builds their confidence. Our marine environmental science programs sites are located on Catalina Island and on board our 112 foot Floating Sea Lab ^ research vessel Enhydra.

MSA is a faith based science and educational organization. We teach science concepts in the midst of creation fostering growth and building character. Position Description:

Assist Program Manager:

Assist and monitor all program operations
Monitor staff performance
Checking in & out Airbnb guests at camp
Assisting in Airbnb camp operations
Assist with transports to & from camp
Oversee and order program supplies
Liaison between MSA and program facility managers
Safety inspector
Staff calendar
Staff orientation
Oversee smooth running program at all sites
Create program schedules, staff schedules, and boat schedules

This is a full-time permanent position


We are looking for a faith-filled “Spiritual Minded” person with a willingness to work with flexibility as part of a team, a sound understanding of relational ministry. Candidates must be:

• 25 years or older
• College graduate with a strength in science and or education
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Must be a self initiator
• Have own vehicle and laptop computer
• Must be able to meet physical demands of camp
• Have the ability to follow the vision and leadership of our organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Documents
• Able to Multi Task
• Flexible creative problem solver
• Passionate about youth education, mentoring, and character building
Open water Lifeguard/CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
Small boat experience or willingness to learn.

Starting Date: March 1st

Compensation: TBD on experience

Accommodations: Room provided 7 days per week, board provided while camp is in session.

Location: Catalina Island and San Pedro (must be willing to relocate for program locations). Staff accommodations are rustic cabins.
