Job Description

Orphan Voice seeks a Christian, Licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist With Three Years of Work Experience.

A Christian occupational and/or physical therapist who feels God’s call and leading to invest in the lives of special needs children in Central Vietnam is sought for. In the main, the children to be ministered to will have received no intervention except for the therapists at Hope Therapy Center.

One or two therapists are needed for a full-time position(s) in an outpatient pediatric setting. The Clinic is fully funded.

Services are provided to (mostly) children from 2-17 years old (with a few young adults up to 21). with a wide variety of diagnoses. Child's caregiver attends each therapy session with the child. Two interpreters/helpers are employed and available to handle translation needs, scheduling, and assisting with therapeutic intervention.

The Clinic space consists of two treatment rooms and full-sized kitchen, with features including a rock climbing wall, parallel bars, and suspension swing.

Orientation and job training will be provided by an American occupational therapist who has been volunteering at the clinic since February 2018.


The position includes a stipend of $1,000 per month that will more than cover food and lodging. Additionally, an insurance policy which provides medical coverage in Asia, a motorbike and a visa are provided. The therapist may want to raise some support. Orphan Voice will provide ad min support for any staff support raised.

The creator of the program at Hope Therapy Center will continue and be available as a mentor.

A 2-year commitment is preferred although a one-year commitment will be considered. Each year of volunteering will allow for holidays off and an additional month off for travel/time home.

Experience: 3 years experience in the field is needed for visa purposes.

Experience in pediatrics is preferable, however, this is flexible. The therapist is required to be nationally registered and in good standing with national board in home country.
