JAARS Fellows is an 11-month, merit-based, professional opportunity that provides entry into a first career position, cultivates emerging leaders, and unleashes the world of missions. Fellows join JAARS staff in key positions to make Bible translation and life transformation possible.

The Museum Programs Fellow will serve alongside the Museum team to support the day-to-day operations, programs, and events of the museum. JAARS operates The Museum of the Alphabet on its property (more details here). The Museum Programs Fellow will learn how to train new staff, coordinate schedules, and organize events.
Learn the history, current state, and purpose of the museum
Coordinate and host tours for guests
Organize special museum events, such as JAARS Day and Night at the Alphabet Museum
Oversee staff and operations under the Museum Manager
A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
Passionate about Bible translation and sharing the work of JAARS
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
High level of independence, guiding oneself with little or no supervision.
The ability to speak with clarity and able to identify and understand the speech of another person.
High energy level individual

Value global ministry
At least 18 years old
Working experience with Google suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Office
Majors include Education, Anthropology, History, Museum Studies, Administration, and Event Planning

There are nearly 600 million people in the world with little or no access to Scripture in the language they know best, their heart language.
JAARS makes Bible translation and language development possible, especially in the most remote places on earth. We do that by enabling locally appropriate and sustainable solutions in transportation, technology, media and training.
We need more staff to make that possible. Of those who work at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, N.C., 50% are volunteers either short or long term, full or part time, and of all ages and backgrounds. Missionaries and a few paid personnel round out the staff.
