Job Description

The CityTeam Community Services department meets the immediate needs of thousands of low-income families on a monthly basis. We provide food, clothing, hygiene products and more with seasonal events such as Back-to-School, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also empower them with lasting solutions through our programs like Youth Connect, Vital Connections for women, Discovery Bible Groups, and other programs.



  • Project Management: Learn coordination, communication, tracking, reporting and planning of projects and special events. 
  • Public Relations: Learn to represent CityTeam in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Professionalism and Soft Skills: Learn professionalism and soft-skills necessary to answer questions, direct calls, and advocate for CityTeam.
  • Time Management: Learn important organizational skills necessary to prioritize and support multiple people, projects, and deadlines through accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through.
  • Field Research: Learn data collection, reporting, and conducting online research.
  • Event Planning and Promotion: Learn to assist in preparing and executing special events and preparing promotional materials like fliers.




  • Participate in weekly training and feedback sessions with direct supervisor.
  • Assist with special project duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist with special events and holiday drives.
  • Answer phones and conduct follow-up phone calls for questions regarding Community Services.
  • Answer the door and assist guest/volunteers as needed.
  • Manage Front Desk Reception Area.
  • Perform data gathering, data entry, filing and compiling reports.
  • Check the mailbox daily and sort correspondence.
  • Help maintain and restocking office equipment and office supplies room.
  • Assist in translation/interpretation for meetings, trainings, and data reporting.
  • Perform various office duties.
  • Act as back-up for administrative assistant to the Director.




  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Good command of the English language, especially writing professional documents and business correspondence.
  • Fluent in a second language such as Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese preferred.
  • Experience in the customer service industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with CityTeam and Community Services programs.
  • Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Must have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be active in a local Christian body of believers or at least pursuing community with other Christ-followers. Must have compatible theology on major issues of CityTeam's Statement of Faith.  Must be committed to serving God and the body of Christ
