CityTeam has two trucks and teams of drivers for the Starbucks FoodShare program. We are currently looking for a dependable driver to pick up rescued food from approximately 40 San Jose Starbucks locations on Saturday and Sunday nights during the graveyard shift. Since you will be transporting perishable food, you must have or be willing to obtain, with CityTeam’s assistance, your SafeServe food handling certificate. The FoodShare Driver will need to work independently, always keeping safety a top priority. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable individual who may already be working during the day and wishes to supplement his or her income, as the pick-up times are after normal business hours. This position will specifically work every Saturday and Sunday evening. There is also the opportunity to pick up extra shifts to help cover other drivers when they are sick or on vacation. Each night’s schedule will be a full 8-hours. There is no flexibility on work times, as the pick-ups must be made in the designated window of 9:00 pm-5:30 am.
The Weekend FoodShare Driver is a 16-hour a week non-exempt position wrapped up in a Christian environment that values Teamwork, Accountability, Humility, Innovation, and Joy.
Show up for work on time every Saturday and Sunday evening.
Provide advance-notice of any potential missed shifts.
Drive to assigned stores, make pick-ups, and deliver food to CityTeam in allotted time.
Accurately disarm and set alarm at each location.
Make sure locations are securely locked when you leave.
Ensure food safety.
Precool and maintain refrigerated van to 38 degrees.
Take and record internal temperatures at all stores, inside the van, and upon delivery at CityTeam.
Record all pounds onto MealConnect online platform.
Record all required temperature checks and make results available to SHFB staff upon request.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
21 years of age or older
Valid Driver’s License with a clean record
No DUI in the past 10-years
No Felony or Theft convictions in the past 7-years
Preferred Education and Experience
Prior food service experience
Prior employment as a driver
Sit for prolonged amounts of time
Walk, bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Regularly lift and carry 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Finger and hand dexterity to feel, handle, and operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms
Graveyard shift, 9:00 PM-5:30 AM
Will be exposed to a variety of weather conditions, including rain
Days of the week will vary, depending on need
Working in isolation most of the time
May encounter homeless or other people loitering around Starbucks locations

Must be active in a local Christian body of believers or at least pursuing community with other Christ-followers
Must have compatible theology on major issues of CityTeam's Statement of Faith
