Administrative Assistant to Lead Pastor

Status: Part-Time (20-24 hours a week)                                                                                                                                                                       

Overview:

The Village Church Administrative Assistant to the Lead Pastor will provide effective, efficient, professional, and proactive support to the Lead Pastor. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the office as a whole.

 Job Responsibilities and Duties:                                            

  • Provide administrative support as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
  • Assist in periodic multi-sensory sermon illustration preparation.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, classes and events, as requested.
  • Utilize Village Church software to maintain and update records and create reports.
  • Process check requests and expense reports as needed.
  • Administrate baptism, child dedication, and membership process.
  • Maintain and update various church lists and records relating to: attendance, weddings, funerals, baptisms, child dedications.
  • Assist in coordination of Annual Membership Meeting, Annual Statistical Report and Village Church Annual Report.
  • Coordinate the intake process for all Village Church weddings.
  • Provide reception assistance as needed.
  • Provide assistance for various office needs.

 Job Skills and Requirements:                                                                                                               

  • Supports Village Church Statement of Faith.
  • Strong administrative skills, especially attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and able to multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn new software programs.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively in a team environment.
  • Discretion and ability to keep information confidential.
  • Provide proactive ministry support to leadership.
  • Work in an effective, supportive manner with the Office Support Team (OST).
