Human Resources - Generalist

Operation Mobilization is seeking an experienced HR Generalist.  We are looking for someone who wants to use their professional skills and has a desire to help OM with the vision of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel: assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook/policies/procedures manual.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Manage and oversee annual open enrollment and 403b enrollment by obtaining health insurance plan changes and preparing/providing communication to all employees.
  • Responsible for all annual compliance including but not limited to: 5500 filings, ACA reporting, audit process, etc.
  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliation and billing process as they relate to benefits.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program, files EEO-1 report annually, and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations as it pertains to health and welfare plans (ACA, HIPAA, PPACA, MCP, FMLA, LTD, STD and other related regulations).
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, volunteers and temporary employees; conducts new employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; writes and places advertisements.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.  Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information, system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment, benefits laws and regulations.
  • Assists in on-boarding and orientation of all new hires at OM USA.
  • Serve as back-up for payroll processing if current processor is unavailable and adequate training is provided.  Assist with payroll process as needed to ensure efficient and accurate processing. 

Education and Experience:

  • A.A. or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Proficiency in with Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to handle security sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Capable of effective collaboration in a highly complex organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passionate about OM's mission and its ministries
