Job Description


The Social Media Manager position is responsible for the project management and execution of social media and online initiatives as assigned. The role will manage Social Media activity; posting, reporting and analytics, and advertising to support traditional and digital marketing strategy for the purpose of brand awareness, event and product promotion, increasing donations and sales and to support the accomplishment of our ministry brands vision and mission.

You will report to Sr. Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy and work closely with Design, Web and Vendors. It will be vital to maintain knowledge of the changing technologies of Facebook and other key social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the roll-out of multiple new brands under the new Hope Together brand
    1. This will include launching the new Hope Together brand
    2. Creating new accounts to accommodate the new brands
  • Responsible for managing Facebook/digital ad spend
    1. Ad spend will be used for both in-house advertising efforts and working with an outside Facebook ad agency when needed.
    2. Monitor campaigns daily and suggest modifications
    3. Meet weekly to report on ROI and relevant parameters (ex.cpc)
    4. Work with social media vendor as necessary
  • Manage a complex, unfolding social media calendar (multi-brand)
    1. Build out presence on relevant channels per brand
  • Maintain and grow Hope for the Heart and it’s social media channels
    1. Coordinate with all in-house campaigns
  • Demonstrate writing skills as applies to social media and relational mind-set.
