CityTeam is looking for a financial professional who can immediately contribute to our Accounting and Finance Team. The Senior Accountant will be capable and experienced in accounting and be eager to cross-train and assist with processing payroll, journal entries, and accounts payable. Working behind the scenes at CityTeam is a calling, not just a job. The Senior Account will ensure good stewardship and protect the financial integrity of CityTeam. The Senior Accountant is a full-time temporary position wrapped up in a Christian environment that values Teamwork, Accountability, Humility, Innovation, and Joy.
Assist with Payroll, Fixed Assets, Cash Receipts, and Accounts Payable processes and related systems, including vendor interface to ensure accuracy.
Assist in managing assets and liabilities of the organization with emphasis on assigned areas of responsibility.
Responsible for completion of tasks, including but not limited to charitable organization reporting, welfare exemption claims, property lease file management, insurance renewal applications, and sales tax.
Assist in ensuring adequate financial controls are implemented and maintained throughout the ministry.
Effectively prepare bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations, and other required account analysis on a timely basis.
Support the annual audit process to ensure effective, efficient audit.
Support the annual budget process, as requested.
Assist with all aspects of Accounts Payable, including communicating with vendors and staff in person, over the phone, and via email.
Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
4-year Accounting degree
Computer literate and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced MS Excel skills
Proficiency with 10-Key
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with cloud-based Payroll/HRIS
This job operates in a professional office environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
