The Donation Processing Specialist is a member of a small 3-person DP Department, so we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, is open and receptive to feedback, takes initiative, and is able to handle conflict in a Christ-like manner. The person in this position must be able to work on multiple projects, maintain the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality, and meet deadlines without constant direction. Our Donation Processing Specialist must be a critical thinker who understands how processes interact and affect each other. The day-to-day record keeping is repetitive, but the rush of the holidays will definitely keep you on your toes. In addition to the regular processing of mail and donations, the Donation Processing Specialist will also be a key member of the special events team, providing support setting up, processing payments, answering questions, interacting professionally with donors, and doing whatever needs to get done.
The Donation Processing Specialist is a full-time non-exempt position. Maintain and process normal monetary donations.
Regularly add and update donors to the donor database.
Open, sort, process, prepare, drop off, pick up mail from the post office, and communicate with the post office and internal staff regarding mail, when necessary.
Generate batch tapes and prepare checks and devices for batch entry.
Generate regular reports and receipts and distribute acknowledgement letters. Support other CityTeam departments by creating and providing custom reports, as necessary.
Reconcile cash and other items with the donation-processing department.
Serve as back up to process online donations and other complex financial gifts.
Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
Maintain, review, and adjust, where appropriate, all records and systems affecting the immediate area of responsibility.
Troubleshoot and communicate with machine vendors for maintenance and other issues.
Manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Proactively safeguard and promote the ministry.
Perform other related duties as required.
Assist with offsite special events on weekends and evenings at least 2-4 times a year.

Required Education and Experience
Expert proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced data entry
Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with 10-key
Must pass CityTeam Security Clearance
Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean record
Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT
This job operates in a professional office environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
At least 2-4 offsite evening and weekend events throughout the year, which may require overtime hours
Frequent short distance trips to post office and office supply store, as needed

Must be active in a local Christian body of believers or at least pursuing community with other Christ-followers
Must have compatible theology on major issues of CityTeam's Statement of Faith
