Job Description

Unshackled, a faith based, Christian radio program, is the longest running radio drama in history and is produced in Chicago by and at Pacific Garden Mission.

We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to assist management and all visitors to the company by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

To be successful as an Unshackled Administrative Assistant, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. Administrative Assistants must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, Administrative Assistants should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities include:

~ Communicate… with production actors, writers, story subjects, listeners, and other mission or production related persons.

~ Coordinate Unshackled App… Upload programs, cue programs and notifications, promotions, add info, create graphics.

~ Stories: communications with Story Subjects, copy/file story materials, coordinate stories with writers, script changes, contact potential story subjects

~ Scripts: collaborate on checklist, make changes, sit-in on recordings and assist, finalize scripts.

~ Graphics: create program graphics on app and social media

~Social Media: Send eblasts, respond to social media messages, manage Twitter, FB, Instagram, post images/video, assist with short films

~Office: Arrange meetings, take minutes, assist with Sat recording and strike, update actors database

Administrative Assistant Requirements: Associates Degree in related field, prior administrative experience, excellent computer skills, attention to detail, desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
