This position is for 20-40 hours per week, for a volunteer, or a staff person who raises support.
Basic receptionist duties
Ensure that visitors and callers to the HR Department are greeted and directed to the appropriate person in HR for support or guidance
Provide administrative support to JAARS HR Recruiters in all recruiting strategies and tactics
Be trained on and oversee all of the required onboarding paperwork for new staff, including issuance of ID and facility access badges
Establish and maintain legally-sound job files for all recruitment activity, ensuring that all HR files are properly maintained and expunged as required
Provide general administrative support to the JAARS HR Department, as required
A dedicated Christian with a demonstrated ongoing walk with Jesus, along with a commitment and ability to role-model JAARS Values and Policies
Excellent organization and communication skills with all levels of staff; a flexible, team-oriented professional with a willingness and readiness to provide administrative support for all recruiting and onboarding aspects of JAARS Internship Program, with a long-term interest in JAARS future recruiting initiatives
A proactive, efficient, can-do, goal-oriented work style that can negotiate, yet also quickly adapt to ever-changing HR priorities; comfortable with periodic interruptions based on needs and requests
Ability or willingness to learn HR consultation to managers on all aspects of recruitment: position description design, sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation to external hires and JAARS internal transfer invitation process
Proven skills and experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) Preferred (Not required) – Google email, calendars, forms.

Knowledge of and stay concurrent with employment law to ensure compliance with JAARS commitment to EEO policies
Experience with or willingness to learn JAARS unique Talent Acquisition strategies and goals

Our campus includes extensive training facilities, an airport, office and commercial facilities, guest housing, food services, recreational areas, health clinic, on-site childcare, and youth and family ministry support for staff and partners.

We need more staff to make in possible. Of those who work at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, N.C., 50% are volunteers either short- or long-term, full- or part-time, and of all ages and training backgrounds. Missionaries and a few paid personnel round out the staff.
