Cityteam is currently looking for a part-time Maintenance Specialist to help us oversee the care, maintenance, and upkeep of our facilities. This Maintenance Specialist will primarily work in San Jose but may occasionally need to work at our Oakland and or San Francisco sites. The ability to complete responsibilities without disrupting client services is essential. The person in this position will need to show proficiency in a wide-range of repair and maintenance skills. The Maintenance Specialist will need to manage interior building repairs and janitorial issues. In addition to working cooperatively with others, the Maintenance Specialist will need to be able to work independently, always keeping safety a top priority. The ideal candidate will have the capacity and desire to learn new skills.
The Maintenance Specialist is a 20-hour a week non-exempt position. You will have the opportunity to put your trade-skills to work in a Christian environment that values Teamwork, Accountability, Humility, Innovation, and Joy.
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance projects.
Performed skilled labor in plumbing, electrical, and small appliance diagnosis and repair.
Performed skilled labor in light framing.
Performed skilled labor in sheetrock repair.
Work through a repair thoughtfully so that the end result includes the repair being done correctly, will last, and is completed in a timely manner
Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Required Education and Experience
Minimum 5-years professional experience in maintenance and or facilities
Working knowledge of building maintenance and repair
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and small appliance diagnosis and repair
Working knowledge of drywall repair
Working knowledge of painting
Working knowledge of light construction
Must have a valid CA Driver’s License with a clean record
Preferred Education and Experience
Skilled in plumbing, construction, electrical, painting, etc.
Customer service experience
Stand for prolonged amounts of time
Walk, bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Push 100 pounds
Lift and carry a minimum of 70 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Finger and hand dexterity to feel, handle, and operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms
Walk up and down stairs
This job operates in a variety of multi-leveled ministry buildings, including locations with professional kitchens and be exposed to industrial equipment and chemicals
The employee will frequently be outdoors and in warehouse environments and be exposed to cold, windy, hot, and noisy environments
Frequently around wet, slippery floors or surfaces
Occasionally around chemicals
This position will have a flexible schedule based on ministry needs

Must have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Must be active in a local Christian body of believers or at least pursuing community with other Christ-followers
Must have compatible theology on major issues of Cityteam's Statement of Faith
